Filmmaker Kuku Kohli Dies at 77

Filmmaker Kuku Kohli, best known for directing the 1991 film Phool Aur Kaante, has died at the age of 77. His friend, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, confirmed the death, stating that Kohli suffered a massive heart attack. Kohli began his career under the mentorship of Raj Kapoor and later assisted Rahul Rawail on films including Betaab and Arjun. His directorial debut, Phool Aur Kaante, is widely credited with launching the career of actor Ajay Devgn. In addition to his directorial work, Kohli served as the General Secretary of the Indian Film and Television Director's Association.
