She noted a perception gap where younger generations currently prefer private lenders because they are viewed as more modern. Sitharaman encouraged banks to collaborate with educational platforms to provide online learning content to engage youth. While pushing for a more contemporary approach, she emphasized that banks must simultaneously maintain strict prudential standards.
