Firecracker Factory Blast in Kaushambi Leaves 24 Injured, 15 Feared Trapped

A massive explosion at a firecracker factory in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district left 24 people injured, while approximately 15 others remain feared trapped inside. The blast occurred on Monday afternoon near the Manori power house in the Pipri police station area, triggering a joint rescue operation by police, fire brigade, and nearby Air Force personnel. Kaushambi District Magistrate Amit Pal stated that five seriously injured individuals were referred to SRN Hospital in Prayagraj for advanced treatment. The impact of the explosion also caused five to six adjacent residential structures to collapse. The Manori Air Force Station is located about two kilometres from the blast site, and rescue teams continue operations to clear the debris and locate those unaccounted for.
