Five people are missing following a fire that destroyed a restaurant and its attached apartments in the Swiss town of Thusis. Nearly 100 firefighters responded to the scene shortly after midnight on Friday, requiring the use of a crane to access the roof after the building's stairwell collapsed. Fourteen people managed to escape the structure, though eight individuals sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. The injured were transported to hospitals in Chur, Thusis, Ilanz, and Zurich for medical treatment. Graubünden cantonal police and the local public prosecutor's office are currently investigating the cause of the blaze, which reportedly started on the second floor.
