Flipkart expands logistics network with 14 million cu ft warehouse space across 750 pincodes

Flipkart's logistics arm Ekart added 14 million cubic feet of warehouse space and extended delivery reach to 750 new PIN codes ahead of the festive season. The expansion raised overall storage capacity by 50 per cent nationwide and increased peak processing capacity by over 30 per cent through technology and automation upgrades. To support same-day and next-day delivery demand, over 900 additional delivery hubs were established. With this addition, Ekart's infrastructure now comprises over 8,200 facilities across India, including fulfilment centres, sortation hubs, last-mile units, and nearly 1,200 Flipkart Minutes microfulfilment centres operational across 150-plus cities. Hemant Badri, Senior Vice President and Head of Supply Chain at Flipkart Group, stated the expansion enables the festive experience to reach customers in remote regions like Leh and Kargil for the first time.

The expansion directly enables millions of Indian consumers in previously unreachable pincodes and remote regions to access Flipkart's festive sale, while creating approximately 2.5 lakh seasonal jobs, 75,000 targeted at first-time job market entrants, predominantly in last-mile delivery operations.
