Former Akali Sarpanch Shot Dead by Assailants in Ludhiana

Navtej Singh, a former sarpanch of Manewal village, was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants near Ladhowal in Ludhiana on Sunday morning. The 60-year-old victim was driving alone in his vehicle when he was intercepted and fired upon around 6 am. He was rushed to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. Police have registered a murder case against the unknown attackers and are currently recording statements from the family to determine the motive behind the attack.
