Former KPSC Chairman Questioned by CID Over Recruitment Irregularities

Former Karnataka Public Service Commission chairman Shivashankarappa S. Sahukar appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department in Bengaluru on Thursday. The questioning follows a series of investigations into alleged irregularities within the KPSC, including bribery claims and the submission of false income certificates. CID officials have also issued notices to IAS officer Gnanendra Kumar Gangwar and several high-scoring candidates. The state government transferred the probe to the CID on July 28, while the Enforcement Directorate is conducting a separate investigation into the financial aspects of the case.
