He claims the company fired him in 2024 after he refused to sign an immigration support letter for a Chinese engineer that he believed contained inaccurate information. Tillinghast alleges the letter overstated the employee's technical contributions and leadership responsibilities. The complaint further accuses Meta of providing preferential immigration assistance to certain Chinese national employees compared to workers from other countries. Meta reportedly revoked Tillinghast's system access in August 2024, followed by his formal termination on September 30.
