Four members of the Damone family—Bharati (50), Sharada (45), Ganga (25), and Priya (24)—died after a refrigerator exploded at their home in Belagavi, Karnataka, on Monday night. Two others, Gajanan (65) and Roshan (21), suffered 60% burn injuries and were hospitalised. The blast destroyed the shed, and police are investigating whether a short circuit or another fire caused the explosion. The family had kept a Ganesh idol decorated with lights nearby, raising suspicions of a possible electrical fault.
