Four Killed in Mud House Collapse in Kanpur After Heavy Rain

Four family members, including three sisters aged 16, 12, and seven, died when their mud house collapsed in Hirni village, Kanpur, on Sunday morning. The victim Mukesh, a 45-year-old labourer, also died in the incident, while his 19-year-old daughter Kajal is currently receiving treatment at Halet Hospital. Villagers reported that the structure had weakened due to continuous rainfall over several days. Family members alleged that local police were slow to respond to calls for help and that medical staff were unavailable at the Patara community health centre during the initial aftermath. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his condolences and directed officials to provide assistance to the survivors.
