· India · Hindustan Times, Times of India, The Hindu
Four workers died in an explosion at Kovika Dyes and Intermediates in Chhatral GIDC, located in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar district, on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred while workers were fitting a pipe to a hot pressure vessel containing chemicals, according to Gandhinagar SP Ravi Teja Vasamsetty. The deceased workers include Vinodkumar Singh, Teda Dehari, and Sikandar Lakhan Dehari from Jharkhand, along with Laxman Meena from Udaipur. The explosion was powerful enough to cause fatal injuries on the spot for all four individuals near the vessel. Forensic officers and local police are examining the site to determine whether mechanical failure, a chemical reaction, or a lapse in safety procedures caused the blast.
