FSSAI Raids Ajmer Wai Wai Unit, Seizes 32,107 Kg Of Stock

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) initiated enforcement action against CG Foods India Private Limited after inspecting its manufacturing unit in Roopangarh, Ajmer. Officials found broken noodles collected from the floor being reprocessed into bhujia products without heat treatment, alongside use of predated packaging dates. The unit was also manufacturing unlicensed bhujia variants branded "Wai-Wai Mama" and "Wai-Wai Mama Punte" in alleged violation of Section 31(1) of the FSS Act, 2006. Around 32,107.2 kg of stock, including loose broken noodles, was seized, and 1,925 boxes of expired finished products were detained. Samples of noodle material, Veg Bhujia, cooking oil, and Wai-Wai Ready to Eat noodles have been sent for laboratory analysis, while production of Veg Bhujia namkeen without required approvals has been ordered to stop.
