FSSAI Serves Notices to JW Marriott and Andaz Delhi Over Violations

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued notices to JW Marriott and Andaz Delhi by Hyatt in Aerocity, New Delhi, citing serious food safety violations. Inspections at Andaz Delhi uncovered approximately 87 kg of expired sweets, expired cake bases, and expired bread packets, alongside a pest infestation featuring cockroaches, mosquitoes, and houseflies. Investigators at JW Marriott found spoiled and fungally affected food, including fungal growth on apples and rotten tomatoes, alongside improper storage and hygiene deficiencies. The FSSAI has collected surveillance samples of honey, ghee, paneer, and milk powder from both luxury hotels for laboratory analysis.
