Fulham Manager Alvaro Arbeloa Faces Pressure After Winless Start
· Sports · BBC Sport
Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa remains winless after six Premier League matches, leaving the club at the bottom of the table. The team most recently suffered a 2-1 defeat at Ipswich on Saturday after conceding two goals in the final minutes of the match. This marks the second consecutive league game where Fulham lost a lead late in the second half. Arbeloa, who replaced Marco Silva this summer, has now seen his side concede late goals in four of their six fixtures. The manager stated he does not fear for his position and maintains confidence in his squad despite the poor run of results.
Why it matters
The club's poor start and inability to close out matches place immediate pressure on Arbeloa to secure a win in the upcoming fixtures against Hull and Coventry.
