GATE 2027 Registration Deadline Today for Regular Applicants

The regular registration window for GATE 2027 closes on September 27, 2026, for candidates applying without a late fee. Candidates who miss today's deadline can still apply with a late fee until October 5 through the official website at gate2027.iitm.ac.in. This year, IIT Madras has introduced a mandatory DigiLocker-based registration process for Indian nationals, requiring applicants to upload specific PwD documents where applicable. The examination will feature 30 test papers, highlighted by the addition of a new Robotics and Automation test paper alongside revised syllabus and paper codes for XE, XH, and XL. Candidates can apply for one or two papers from permitted combinations, with the exam scheduled to be conducted as a three-hour computer-based test in February 2027.
