GBA Orders Action Against Domlur Building Over Setback Violations

Greater Bengaluru Authority Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao directed Central City Corporation officials to issue a notice and initiate removal action against a building under construction near Domlur for failing to leave mandatory setbacks. During his inspection on Tuesday, Mr. Rao also ordered the immediate disconnection of electricity for an adjacent commercial building constructed without setbacks. He further instructed officials to examine developing a vending zone or parking facility on the wide footpath along Domlur Main Road and to clear obstructions blocking pedestrian movement. Additionally, he directed officials to expedite road repair and restoration works following sanitary-line installations by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board. Mr. Rao also visited the Kodihalli Primary Health Centre, instructing officials to earmark a biomedical waste area and install security cameras.
