Investigators from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) detained Archana Veeramani, daughter of 'Gem Granites' owner R. Veeramani, shortly after she boarded a flight to Singapore at Chennai International Airport on October 23, 2026. The SIT, probing offences under the POCSO Act, intercepted her minutes into the flight with crew assistance based on specific input that she was travelling internationally. Police sources stated she would be questioned about alleged cash and gold transactions between her father and others following a child abuse complaint lodged in November 2024.
