Gen Alpha schoolchildren in Uttar Pradesh's Basti district stopped Samajwadi Party MLA Rajendra Chaudhary's convoy to protest a severely muddy and waterlogged road. The affected route, part of the Saryu Canal Division-4 canal route leading towards Mudadiha alias Bhopalpur and Hanumanganj, has become a waterlogged stretch during the rainy season. Hundreds of students from local institutions including an intermediate college and government primary schools use the road daily to commute. The children complained that persistent mud and water accumulation make the route unsafe, causing students to slip, fall, and soil their school uniforms and shoes. Following the protest, MLA Rajendra Chaudhary inspected the stretch, spoke to concerned officials on the spot, and assured the students of early action.
