Gen Z Youth Groups Call For October 10 Protest At Jantar Mantar In New Delhi

Student and youth organisations on Wednesday announced a nationwide call for a 'Dilli Chalo' protest on October 10 at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. The coalition, including the All India Students Association, Cockroach Janta Party, All India Students' Federation, Student Federation of India, and Association of Students of Alternative Politics, is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The groups are also calling for a rollback of the ongoing special intensive revision of electoral rolls across the country. AISA president Neha Bora stated that the demonstration is a united push by opposition student wings and civil society against the ruling BJP. CJP representative Saurav Das confirmed that organisers have submitted an intimation letter to the Delhi Police and stated that their agitation will continue until the electoral system is reformed.
