Genesis Unveils GV90 Flagship SUV With 657‑Horsepower EV and Coach‑Door Variant

Genesis revealed its 2027 GV90 flagship SUV, featuring a 657‑hp electric powertrain and a 310‑mile range on a 124‑kWh battery. The 208‑inch long model comes in two versions: a standard three‑row vehicle with conventional rear doors and a limited‑edition GV90 Neolun that sports coach‑open rear doors, a hidden B‑pillar design, and a VIP four‑seat lounge setup. The Neolun also includes 24‑inch wheels, a wood‑flooring panel, and front seats that swivel 180 degrees. Genesis says the GV90 rides on a proprietary eMP platform, possibly related to Hyundai Group’s eGMP architecture, but the SUV’s larger battery is 14 kWh bigger than the Ioniq 9’s 110‑kWh pack. Pricing details are not yet confirmed, but the Neolun is expected to be priced above the standard GV90. The vehicle’s size and luxury features aim to challenge rivals such as the Mercedes‑Benz EQS SUV.
