· Technology · Engadget, Android Authority
Gentle Monster announced its Intelligent Eyewear will be available for pre-order on November 12, the same date Warby Parker appears to have leaked. The Google Android XR smart glasses launch in December, backed by Samsung and Warby Parker as partners. A short film directed by Jonathan Glazer starring Joaquin Phoenix will accompany the launch with the full version releasing mid-November. Google has not confirmed these dates and remains silent on the product rollout.
Why it matters
Google's XR glasses partnerships with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker could reshape consumer AR adoption in India if the display-free, audio-first design gains traction.
