The remarks came during a discussion on law and order flagged by Revolutionary Goans Party MLA Viresh Borkar, who cited a recent casino director shooting and drug smuggling in Colvale jail, while noting Goa's police detection rate is 98.92% but conviction rate is only 5.85%. AAP MLA Venzy Viegas pressed the government on what concrete steps beyond verification it plans to take to reduce crime.
