Goa Police have launched a manhunt after two unknown assailants fired three gunshots targeting Shrinivas Nayak, the Managing Director of the Casino Pride Group, in Panaji. Nayak escaped unharmed as he was leaving the Majestic Pride Hotel and Casino on Friday evening. According to preliminary information, Nayak was heading towards his car with his bodyguard when the attack occurred, prompting the bodyguard to return fire. The assailants reportedly escaped by crossing the busy NH 66 Highway leading into the state capital from the north. The report does not specify a motive for the shooting, and police officials stated that investigations remain at a preliminary stage.
