The education department in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, sealed a school on Monday following the circulation of a video showing minor girls dancing in burqas during an Independence Day program. Officials stated the action was taken because the institution was operating without the required recognition from the Basic Shiksha Adhikari. The school, which offers classes up to Grade 5, had begun functioning in the current academic session. Block Education Officer Riyaz Ahmed confirmed that he had previously warned the school manager to halt operations until recognition was obtained. Authorities have directed a nearby school to admit the affected students to ensure their education continues.
