Google adds document editing and preview to Gemini on mobile and web
· Technology · Android Authority, Gadgets360
Google is bringing in-app document editing and preview capabilities to its Gemini AI, initially for PDFs on mobile and expanding to more file types on the web. The update allows users to interact with previews to deliver revision requests and refine outputs using both text and visual input. Gemini's document powers now support a wider variety of file formats including spreadsheets, presentations, code and Workspace cloud files on the web, while the mobile app currently remains limited to PDFs. Google highlights these changes as part of ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between initial AI-generated drafts and final, polished document outputs.
Why it matters
Indian users and professionals can now directly edit and refine Gemini-generated documents on their phones or computers, streamlining workflows for academic, business and creative tasks.
