Google Quietly Raises Pixel 10a Price by $100 Ahead of Pixel 11a Launch

· Technology · Android Authority, Bloomberg

Google has raised the US price of the Pixel 10a by $100, moving the mid-range device from $499 to $599. Archives from the Wayback Machine indicate similar price increases in Canada, where the phone jumped from $529 CAD to $849 CAD, and in the UK, where it rose from £429 to £599. The price adjustments have also appeared on major retail platforms including Amazon and Best Buy. Google has not yet officially acknowledged the price hike, though rising component costs such as memory are widely considered the primary factor. With the Pixel 11a anticipated in February or March of next year with upgraded hardware, the sudden increase makes the Pixel 10a a much harder purchase for consumers.

Why it matters

Consumers face higher costs for Google's mid-range smartphone lineup globally, making waiting for next year's Pixel 11a a more logical financial choice.
