Govt Clears Path for India Inc to Produce DRDO Conventional Missile Systems Locally

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approved the transfer of Defence Research and Development Organisation technologies for all conventional missile systems to domestic defence companies. Announced on Tuesday by the Defence Ministry, the policy aims to accelerate indigenous missile manufacturing and reduce import dependence. Indian defence firms meeting required qualifications, certifications, and regulatory standards will now undertake production of these systems. The initiative is also designed to create opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises to integrate into advanced defence supply chains. The Defence Ministry stated that DRDO will continue assisting local industry partners to absorb advanced military technologies.
