Rathod claims that police in Surat district forcibly took her to a station at night and coerced her to implicate a friend in the death of 25-year-old Nidhi Kumari. The petition further alleges that officers drew her blood without consent and questioned her about an "unnatural relationship" among three women. The court is scheduled to hear the matter on October 26.
