Gujarat's state monitoring cell has arrested 13 people and detained a key suspect in Madhya Pradesh following a toxic liquor incident that resulted in seven deaths in Bhavnagar. Among the deceased is Narendra Singh Yadav, who allegedly helped formulate the lethal mixture containing 38.59% methanol. A total of 32 people remain under medical treatment, while nine have been discharged. The investigation revealed that the accused procured materials in Ahmedabad to manufacture the illicit concoction, which was first consumed at a farmhouse party on August 16. Authorities have remanded the 13 arrested suspects to 10 days of police custody.
