The Gujarat government is developing a 12-acre rainforest attraction near the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, estimated to cost ₹12 crore. The project will feature 20 rain-gun towers to simulate monsoon conditions, along with bubble fountains and waterfalls. A central highlight of the site will be a circular glass skywalk constructed from 132 panels of 35-mm-thick Korean glass. The forest will include trees representing various Indian states, aiming to provide a year-round monsoon experience for tourists. This is reported to be the first project of its kind in India.

Why it matters

The new attraction is expected to diversify the tourism offerings at the Statue of Unity, potentially increasing visitor numbers to the Ekta Nagar site.
