Gunman Wounds Eight Near High School in Western Turkiye

An armed man opened fire near the Inci Uzmez Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in the Turgutlu district of Manisa province on Tuesday. Eight people, including students, sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Security forces apprehended the suspect as he attempted to flee the scene shortly after the 07:59 incident. Authorities have launched an investigation into the motive behind the attack. This shooting follows two other school-related violent incidents in Turkiye earlier this year in the Sanliurfa and Kahramanmaras provinces.
