· Technology · The Hindu, Times of India, Telegraph India
Cyberattackers breached the systems of a refrigeration maintenance contractor to remotely heat freezers at France’s national blood agency, Etablissement Francais du Sang. The hackers attempted to raise temperatures in storage units from -30°C to 110°C, which would have destroyed stored blood products and plasma. An on-duty technician detected the abnormal temperature spike, allowing teams to intervene and prevent damage. The French Ministry of Health confirmed that the incident caused no disruption to hospital supplies or transfusion services.
