Videos showed knee-deep water outside DLF Magnolias, a high-end residential complex. Officials from the Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority stated that the current drainage network was designed for lower rainfall intensity and struggles to handle extreme weather events. While internal drainage systems exist within private colonies, they remain dependent on the capacity of external public drains to prevent flooding.
