Heavy rainfall in the National Capital Region on August 25 caused widespread waterlogging and significant traffic congestion in Gurugram, Noida, and Ghaziabad. Gurugram recorded 75 mm of rainfall, prompting the district administration to advise corporate and government offices to allow employees to work from home. Key arterial roads in Gurugram, including NH-48 and Sohna Road, faced severe delays, while residents in Noida and Greater Noida reported knee-deep water in several sectors. Officials from the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation stated that their teams managed to clear minor waterlogging within an hour.
