Home Minister Amit Shah To Visit Manipur In October

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Manipur in the first week of October to oversee developmental projects and lay the foundation stone for a medical college in Senapati district. Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh confirmed the visit following a meeting with the Home Minister in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the discussion, the Chief Minister provided an update on the state's law and order situation. Mr. Shah expressed approval for the resumption of the Imphal-Dimapur-Guwahati bus service and the maintenance of free movement on National Highway 2. The Home Minister's last visit to the state occurred in April 2024 during the Lok Sabha election campaign.
