A projectile fired by Houthi rebels struck the al-Tuwal governorate in Saudi Arabia's southern Jazan region on Saturday, wounding two people and damaging a mosque and several vehicles. The Saudi Civil Defence confirmed the attack and reported that emergency procedures were implemented in response. While the Houthis claimed the strike targeted a military base in Sharurah, Saudi officials noted that the danger has since passed in the Khamis Mushait governorate. This incident follows a series of recent missile and drone strikes by the Iran-backed group on Saudi cities, including Abha and Najran. The ongoing conflict in Yemen has intensified since July, ending a four-year period of relative calm.
