Houthis claimed on Aug 20 that they used drones to hit Najran Airport and an Aramco site in Najran, Saudi Arabia. Military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the first attack targeted a “sensitive Saudi enemy site” at the airport and the second struck an Aramco refinery. The incidents occur amid an Iranian Revolutionary Guard warning that Saudi Arabia would be unable to contain the Houthis. Earlier on Aug 9, Houthis claimed a fire at a gas facility in Jazan, a move Saudi authorities said was extinguished with no injuries. The attacks are part of a broader resumption of Houthi hostilities after a truce ended and a Yemeni minister says the rebels plan to seize territory along the Bab al‑Mandab Strait.
