Hyderabad's Hotel Shadab FSSAI Licence Suspended Over Safety Violations

The Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs has suspended the FSSAI licence of the iconic Hotel Shadab in Hyderabad following a special inspection drive. During the Wednesday operation, officials inspected 19 cafes and snack points, discovering multiple violations including poor hygiene, improper food storage, and the presence of pests. Two other establishments, Dreamz Cafeteria and Asiatic Cafe, were shut down for operating without valid licences. While the government directed the closure of Hotel Shadab, reports indicate the restaurant remained open for business on Wednesday night. Officials also seized 15 food samples suspected of adulteration for further analysis.
