Joshna Chongtham, the wife of Manipuri musician Chongtham Vikram Singh, has publicly appealed for justice following his death in South Delhi. Singh was allegedly beaten to death by eight men on Sunday night after he objected to noise outside his residence in Kilokari village. He was rushed to Holy Family Hospital but died the following morning due to complications from the assault. The family has since relocated from their home citing safety concerns. While members of the Northeast community have described the incident as an act of racial violence, the family has not stated that the attack was racially motivated.
