IAF Continues Technical Probe Into Tejas Fighter Jet Crash in Dubai

The Indian Air Force is still investigating the fatal crash of a Tejas LCA Mk-1 that occurred during the Dubai Airshow last November. Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit stated that the probe remains ongoing as officials await final technical analysis of specific aircraft components. The fighter jet, piloted by Wing Commander Namansh Syal, went down while performing low-level aerobatic manoeuvres on the final day of the event. This incident marks the second crash involving the India-built fighter, following a separate accident near Jaisalmer in March 2024. The IAF currently operates two squadrons of the Tejas Mk-1 and has placed orders for 180 of the more advanced Mk-1A variants.
