IAF Marks 94th Anniversary with Parade at Hindan Base, Flypast Set for Varanasi

· India · Hindustan Times, Times of India

The Indian Air Force held a vibrant parade at Hindan air base in Ghaziabad to celebrate its 94th anniversary, commemorating nine decades since its inception on October 8, 1932. Air Chief Marshal A P Singh addressed the celebrations, noting the force has evolved into a network-centric, multi-domain force ready for any challenge. The ceremonial flypast marking the anniversary will be held in Varanasi on October 25, featuring the theme 'Infallible Impervious and Precise'. A static display of Rafale and Tejas aircraft and a flypast by three Mi-17 helicopters were part of the Hindan base event, which also saw a vintage Tiger Moth perform aerobatics.

Why it matters

The anniversary celebrations reinforce the IAF's operational readiness and public connect, with the Varanasi flypast serving as a key platform to showcase India's air assets to a wider audience.
