IIM Bangalore Receives 12,000 Applications for New UG Programme

IIM Bangalore has received 12,000 applications for its inaugural undergraduate batch of 80 students, which is scheduled to begin classes on August 31, 2026. The institution will offer two four-year residential programmes: BSc (Hons) in Data Sciences with a minor in Economics, and BSc (Hons) in Economics with a minor in Data Sciences. The launch follows a philanthropic partnership with Tata Trusts to establish the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore – Dorabji Tata School of Undergraduate Studies. The new campus is located in the Jigani-Anekal area, approximately 23 km from the main Bannerghatta Road site. The partnership will also support research clusters in areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Indian Knowledge Systems.
