IIT Kanpur Receives Rs 300 Crore Donation from IndiGo Co-Founder

IIT Kanpur received a Rs 300 crore contribution from alumnus and IndiGo co-founder Rakesh Gangwal for the Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology. This adds to his earlier donation of Rs 100 crore in 2022. The funds will support a 500-bed super-speciality hospital and a 200-bed cancer care research centre on campus.
