IIT Kanpur To Launch Super-Speciality Medical Degrees By 2027

IIT Kanpur will introduce super-speciality medical degrees, including Doctorate of Medicine and Master of Chirurgiae, before launching an MBBS programme. The institute is currently constructing a 500-bed hospital on its campus, which is scheduled to open by March 2027. An MBBS degree is expected to be available in three to four years. To support this expansion, the institute has received initial approval to recruit 60 new faculty members for its clinical research wing.
