IIT Tirupati held its 8th Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, August 22, 2026, awarding degrees to 457 graduating students. Ashoka Chakra recipient Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla attended the event as the Chief Guest, while JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal participated in his capacity as Chairperson of the Board of Governors. During the ceremony, 18 students received medals and prizes for their academic achievements. Director Prof. K. N. Satyanarayana noted the institution's expansion since its 2015 inception, highlighting its current 548-acre residential campus and ongoing research initiatives.
