The India Meteorological Department has issued warnings for heavy to very heavy rainfall across northern India, with Uttarakhand facing the most intense weather spells. A weakening depression moving north-northwestwards from northeast Madhya Pradesh is driving the persistent wet conditions across the region. Uttarakhand has experienced continuous downpours, leading to dense fog and disrupted daily life in areas such as Kedarnath Dham. Neighbouring states including Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, and Punjab are also expected to receive isolated heavy rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds.
