IMD Forecasts Widespread Rainfall Across India This Week

The India Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rainfall across north-west, central, and north-east India over the coming week. Heavy rainfall is expected in Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand between 28 and 31 August. Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are also set to receive significant showers starting 28 August and 30 August, respectively. The weather office warns that the prolonged rain could lead to localized flooding and waterlogging in vulnerable regions.
