· Sports · Sportstar, Times of India
After being bowled out for 113 in their first innings, India-A resumed Day 2 at 106/2, largely thanks to Devdutt Padikkal (56 off 89 balls) and Sai Sudharsan (39 off 104 balls) steadied the ship. Earlier, New Zealand-A were dismissed for 317 after resuming at 135/3, with India-A pacers Anshul Kamboj and Auqib Nabi claiming three wickets each on the green pitch. The visitors were reduced to 5/2 openers Jaiswal and Rahul dismissed cheaply before Padikkal and Sudharsan rebuilt the innings. India-A now trail the first-innings deficit by 211 runs with eight wickets in hand.
Why it matters
India-A's resilient batting partnership keeps them in contention to avoid an follow-on, shifting the series momentum after a disappointing Day 1 collapse.
