India and Singapore Sign Telecom and Food Security Pacts

India and Singapore concluded new agreements on telecommunications and food security during the fourth meeting of the India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) held in Singapore. The two nations also explored deeper collaboration in emerging sectors, including small modular reactors (SMRs), semiconductors, space technology, and cybersecurity. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong discussed strategies to integrate Singaporean suppliers into India's growing semiconductor ecosystem. Additionally, the ministers witnessed the exchange of a memorandum of understanding focused on maritime heritage. The discussions also covered potential knowledge sharing regarding nuclear technology, although Singapore has not yet confirmed the adoption of nuclear energy.
