· Sports · India Today, Times of India, Sportstar
India defeated the West Indies by 14 runs at the Holkar Stadium in Indore to claim a 2-1 lead in the five-match T20I series. Defending a total of 223, India restricted the Caribbean team to 209-7 in their 20 overs through a much-improved bowling performance. Captain Shreyas Iyer's side made two changes to the playing XI, bringing in Prince Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy in place of Shivam Dube and Kuldeep Yadav. Nitish Kumar Reddy dismissed Quentin Sampson during a crucial phase, while Arshdeep Singh picked up three wickets to anchor the defense. The victory marked a strong rebound following India's failure to defend 250 in the previous match in Ranchi.
Why it matters
The victory restores momentum to India's white-ball campaign and validates selection changes in the bowling attack ahead of the remaining T20I fixtures.
